SUDO PLAY READING - August 11, 2008
BJ: A Musical Romp
A New Musical
Book and Lyrics by Peter Dagger ('06)
Music by Eric Jarboe ('09)

SUDO will present a reading of a new musical BJ: A Musical Romp, by VPA Drama Alumni Peter Dagger and Eric Jarboe. The reading will take place at Lubin House, 11 East 61st Street in NYC. Doors open at 6:30pm and the performance will begin at 7pm.

BJ: A Musical Romp follows Benyamin Jeremiah on his first day of college. A formerly home-schooled only child, BJ's only interaction with the opposite sex has been at his job at the Beth El Nursing Home. His overprotective mother finally admits that "Home University" does not exist, and drives him up to campus. Within no time, he stumbles across an aggressive seductress with a notorious oral fixation, a beer-guzzling "college guy", a mathlete who loves, well, math, and a gay RA who has shown a particular interest in the presence of kosher meat. Things seem to be going well, but will BJ get the BJ that he has
been yearning for? With twelve original songs, hilarious social encounters, and an overall air of 'awxy,' BJ is sure to bring back those feelings of college we all remember, and perhaps, forgot.
